Pastor Boyd is a third generation True Church of God in Christ preacher. His grandfather, Elder Isiah Boyd, Sr., along with Mother Bessie Boyd, Deliverance Temple’s church mother, brought their children to the Lucas Temple True Church of God in Christ in Scottdale, GA in the early 1960’s. Pastor Stacy’s father, Irvin L. Boyd, Sr. became a deacon and later a minister in the True Church of God in Christ. Minister Irvin Boyd serves as the assistant pastor of St. Paul True Church of God in Christ in Warner Robins, GA, and is married to Mother Claudette Boyd, the Assistant General Mother of the True Church of God in Christ, Inc.
As a child, Pastor Stacy worked in the church until he went to college. The saints continued to pray for and encourage him. Bishop Lucas prophesied that he believed Stacy would “be a great man in this world or in the world to come.” Stacy came to realize that greatness is not measured by a person’s professional stature or financial status, but rather by the degree to which one serves God and others.
In 1996, Pastor Stacy graduated magma cum laude from Randolph Macon College in Ashland, VA, receiving the B.A. degree in English with a minor in secondary education. He was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa honor society and the Omicron Delta Kappa leadership society. He also holds a Master of Arts in English (M.A.) degree from the University of West Georgia, Carrollton, GA. Pastor Stacy continued his graduate studies at Emory University in Atlanta, GA, receiving a M.A. degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in American and African American Studies. He currently works as a tenured associate professor of English and Africana Studies at the University of West Georgia. He is the author of Black Men Worshipping: Intersecting Anxieties of Race, Gender, and Christian Embodiment (Palgrave 2011).
Bishop Oprie Jeffries and the Board of Elders licensed Pastor Stacy as a minister during the 2009 General Assembly. After serving at Lucas Temple for 1 year, Stacy became the Assistant Pastor of St. James True Church of God in Christ in Lithonia, GA in 2010. In March of 2014 after 3 years of service at St. James, Pastor Stacy moved back to Lucas Temple to serve as the teacher for the adult Sunday school class. Bishop Jeffries appointed Stacy as Pastor of Deliverance Temple in Austell, GA in December 2015, and ordained him as an Elder during the first Youth Convention, January 31, 2016.
Pastor Stacy is married to Lilly Boyd, the daughter of Deacon William and Mother Lily Stafford of Barnesville, GA. Lilly holds a B.B.A. degree in Management from Valdosta State University and a M.B.A. from Keller Graduate School of DeVry University. She currently works as a Claims Manager for Allstate Insurance Corporation. Stacy and Lilly have two children, Nathaniel and Nadia.
His goals for Deliverance Temple are to enrich the spiritual development of the church, maintain and improve the physical building, and maximize the fiscal health of the church.
Elder Davis, born October 25, 1951 was raised up by his grandmother in Jackson Georgia.
He attended Jackson High School, Truck driving School and Griffin Technical School. In 1970, he was drafted in the military and served for 3 years.
He has been a part of True Church of God In Christ for about thirty five years. Elder Davis was a minister under the leadership of Elder Zed Lucas and Elder Emmitt Robinson in Cochran, Georgia. He later became the assistant pastor under the leadership of Elder Clayton Andrew in Thomaston and Barnesville Georgia. Pastor Davis also went out in the field and evangelized with Elder Taylor to Cordell Georgia and Valdosta Georgia. In 2012, Elder Davis was ordained by Bishop Oprie Jeffries to lead the flock at Saint Paul True Church of God In Christ. His favorite scripture is “while we were sinners Christ died for the ungodly”.
He has been married for 46 years to Mrs. Carrie Nell Taylor. They have three children (Michael, Calandra & Sonetta) and two grandchildren.
Pastor Davis and Mother Carrie Davis are two people who love the Lord and love God’s people. They show their love for God’s people by traveling back and forth to Warner Robins every Wednesday night for bible study and every Sunday morning for Sunday school and mid-day worship service. They are very dedicated people to the gospel of Jesus Christ.
A man of love, a man of faith.
Elder Jeffries has been a dedicated member of the True Church since the age of 14 and the pastor of Chattanooga True Church for over 10 years. Elder Jeffries is a ready and willing pastor to serve those under his leadership. As a servant first and then a leader he tirelessly encourages all to follow God’s plan of life as outlined in the King James Version of the holy bible. He is a Pastor who goes above and beyond and believes in the potential that lies in an individual’s life. He is sincere to his calling and is one who encourages and prays for people; he always has a listening ear.
Elder Jeffries is a pastor that loves – not just to those who love him but all that he knows. His actions and messages to the congregation always come from the center of God’s word. He believes in the good of people and is a constant reminder that you are destined to have a better life by turning your life over to God. He is driven by his passion for serving God and his vision for God’s plan.
Elder Jeffries works faithfully in the True Church with energy, passion, grace and without complaint. Even though he is a pastor, he is an extraordinary servant always giving honor to God first and the leaders that stood before him. He advises us to follow him as he follows Christ. He is not just a Sunday pastor but is on call at almost any time to all those that need him.
He and his wife Sister Toni R Jeffries have been married for 21 years and are the parents of 3 beautiful children (Marshae, Natoria and Victoria Jeffries). He is a loving husband and father who goes to great lengths as the leader in his home. Instructing them to hear God; draw near to God; honor God; give God all. He not only instructs, but as a leader he exemplifies the same.
Greetings brothers and sisters in the precious name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To God be the Glory, majesty and power for the marvelous work He’s done in my life. I praise Him for the Holy Spirit that controls every aspect of my life. Thank God for the opportunity to repent of my sins, be baptized in His name and my spiritual walk on the highway of holiness.
In this season of my life, I am free to interact with countless souls, who recognize the glory of God in my life and desire spiritual enlightenment. I am honored to be a living epistle of Jesus Christ and honored to suffer in His name. Many consider me an enigma when I give my testimony of forty four (44) years of being happily married to one woman (Barbara); that all five of my children honor me and follow my leadership in the gospel; not only my children but also my grandchildren.
I have found that nothing is too hard for God and by obeying His word and doing His will, He will give us the desires of our hearts. God has enabled me to do exceedingly, abundantly above all that I could ask or hope for. I repented and was baptized in Jesus name in 1981, ordained a deacon in 1983, a minister in 1993, began evangelistic work in 1999, ordained pastor and Elder in 2001, appointed Southeastern District Superintendent in 2004, General Superintendent in 2006, evangelized in the Philippines in 2007 and 2008 and assigned as chief financial officer in 2007. I was privileged to work with the late Bishop B. J. Lawson in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and Wisconsin.
I encourage everyone to do the will of God, obey His word and be proud to lift up a standard for the people’s sake. Regardless of the material things we may possess in this life “if we don’t have Jesus, we don’t have nothing”. Every day I am awed by the amazing mercies performed by God. So many request prayer and after touching and agreeing, God has honored our requests.
I praise God for the many souls I have baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, the precious couples I have united in holy matrimony, the eulogies I have performed for both saints and sinners and the holy communions done in memory of the Lord Jesus.
I am thankful for the former leadership of the late Bishops W. F. Lucas and B. J. Lawson. I am determined to obey the leadership of Bishop Oprie Jeffries, knowing that obedience is better than sacrifice. To God be the glory!
Elder Marvin Jones, Sr. – General Superintendent
Elder Robinson has been a member of the True Church of God in Christ for about 39 years, but was baptized in 1958 at the age of 5.
Elder Robinson, Jr. was ordained as a pastor in 1995 and has pastored several locations throughout the True Church body, which includes Cochran, St. James, Shaw Temple, Deliverance Temple, Savannah and now Augusta & Burke Co; all located in Georgia. He has ministered and/or pastored for over 25 years. Elder Robinson’s main objective is to get the gospel of Jesus Christ to all who will listen. He often shares how grateful he is that someone took the time to pray for him when others would have or did give up on him. He gives tribute to the Late Bishop W. F. Lucas for constantly talking with him and being a great example that he could live holy all the days of his life. Even though many are no longer here with us, he also gives much respect and honor to the late Bishop B.J. Lawson, Elder Zed Lucas and his parents for being that example and standing firm on the word of God. It was not just a talking way; it was a living way. Elder Robinson reminds us to push toward perfection in Love. He constantly teaches and preaches about having pure love for all people and that we have to make an effort each day to press towards the mark. “You won’t be able to see the Lord Jesus Christ without Pure Love (Love of Jesus Christ).” He reminds us that there is always work to do in continuing this Christian walk to see Jesus in Peace.
Elder Robinson has been married 43 years to Margie. They have eight children, six sons and 2 daughters.
