We need light to shine in the midst of the dark dreary world we live in. When there is darkness, the path to walk is unclear and there is an opportunity to stumble and fall into sin. Light can be defined as anything that makes manifest. As we walk in this world, we need a light for our pathway. While Jesus was in the world he was the light of the world and his life was considered to be the light of men. And the light shined in darkness; and darkness comprehended it not (John 1:4-5). There is a sharp contrast between light and darkness, sin and righteousness. The Lord taught his disciples to let their light shine so that men might see their good works and glorify the father. The life of a follower of Jesus Christ will be different from the life of one who is of the world.
14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
Please continue to view our website to see the testimonies of those who have allowed their light to shine. For this topic, we will provide a testimony every Monday for the month of April.
