The Holy Fountain True Church of God in Christ located on 236 Baker Street was established in 1958 with Elder Greene Bryant Sr. as the pastor. During this time the overseer was Bishop W. L. Lucas. Elder Greene Bryant Sr. served as pastor from 1958 to 1990. Elder Oprie Jeffries then served as the pastor for approximately 10 months. The name was then changed to Savannah True Church of God in Christ, Inc.

Bishop W. F. Lucas appointed Elder Gary Battle to pastor in 1990. The Lord blessed Elder Battle with a radio broadcast for more than 2 years – WSOK 1230AM on Sunday morning from 7:45 to 8:45 . In August 2001 Elder Battle was assigned to assist at the Headquarters location.

In January of 2002, Bishop B. J. Lawson appointed Elder Marvin Jones Sr. to pastor the Savannah True Church of God in Christ, Inc. with Minister Charles Thomas assisting. In February, 2007 due to the death of Bishop B. J. Lawson, Bishop Oprie Jeffries appointed Elder Marvin Jones to pastor Augusta and Burke County Church and Elder Turner to pastor at Savannah with Minister Charles Thomas assisting him. The Lord called Elder Turner home in May , 2007. Elder Emmitt Robinson, Jr. was appointed pastor July, 2007. We currently can be viewed on Monday morning from 1:30AM to 2AM on WJCL Channel 22 or Cable 4.

Bishop Jeffries along with Elder Robinson and the True Church pastors and ministers are standing firm on the Apostle's Doctrine. We teach, preach, and live according to the Apostle's Doctrine. Our aim and determination is to help save souls in these perilous times.
